Pictograph Example Step 3: Adding a Picture to the Pictograph

Note: For help with this step, see the image above.

In the Format Data Series dialog box opened in step 2:

  1. Click on the Fill options in the left hand window to access the available fill options.

  2. In the right hand window, click on the Picture or texture fill option.

  3. Click on the Clip Art button to open the Select Picture window.

  4. Type "cookie" in the Search Text box and press the Go button to see the available clip art pictures.

  5. Click on a picture from those available and press the OK button to select it.

  6. Click on the Stack option below the clip art button.

  7. Press the Close button at the bottom of the dialog box to return to your graph.

  8. The blue colored bars in the graph should have been replaced with the cookie image selected.

  9. Repeat the above steps to change the other bars in the graph to pictures.

  10. Once completed, your pictograph should resemble the example on page 1 of this tutorial.
