Another of Excel's Count functions, and one that I use regularly, is COUNTA.
What the Count functions do as a group is count cells containing data rather than perform calculations.
COUNTA tells you the number of non-blank cells that are present in a specified range. The cells can contain numbers, dates, formulas, or just plain text.
