Excel COUNTA Function

Another of Excel's Count functions, and one that I use regularly, is COUNTA.

What the Count functions do as a group is count cells containing data rather than perform calculations.

COUNTA tells you the number of non-blank cells that are present in a specified range. The cells can contain numbers, dates, formulas, or just plain text.

To find out the details of using this function read this short tutorial on the Excel COUNTA Function.
