Have you ever wondered how many inches there are in a 23.62 miles? Well, in case you ever do, the answer is 1,496,563.20 inches.

I found this out using Excel, but not by multiplying 23.62 x 5,280 x 12 to get the answer. What I did do was use the CONVERT function in Excel to find out how many inches are in 23.62 miles.

As well as common measurements, such as miles to kilometers, hours to minutes, or degrees Celsius to degrees Fahrenheit, the CONVERT function can be used to convert more specialized measurements such as atmospheric pressure, units of force, and energy.

To find out the details on how to use this function, read the short tutorial on how to Convert Measurements in Excel.

A complete list of units that can be used with the CONVERT function is included with the tutorial.
