Excel 2007 RIGHT Function

Monday October 5, 2009

Another Excel function, similar to the LEFT function, which can be used to remove unwanted characters from imported data, is the RIGHT function. If extra characters are imported along with good data, they can cause problems if the data is used in formulas or other calculations.

The RIGHT function is used when unwanted characters are present on the left side of good data. It allows you to specify how many characters of data you wish to keep. These characters are then copied to a new cell.

To find out the details of using this function read the article on the Excel 2007 RIGHT Function.
