Six Time-Saving Tips for Excel 2007

Saturday June 27, 2009
Working with Excel or any spreadsheet program can sometimes seem like a never ending job. Data entry, creating and using functions and formulas, and formatting the spreadsheet can all be very time consuming tasks.

There are, fortunately, a number of shortcuts available in Excel that can greatly reduce the time it takes to complete your work.

Shortcuts such as
  • creating a formatting style that can be used over and over
  • copying formulas and functions with the fill handle rather than recreating them
  • copying formatting to different areas with the format painter
  • navigate a worksheet using the name box rather than endlessly scrolling down and across the page
For information on these and other shortcuts, read the article on Six Time-Saving Tips for Excel 2007.

Also, found a shortcut in Excel that's a real life saver? Then let us know about it. What is your favorite time-saving tip in Excel?
