Excel 2007 COUNTBLANK

Wednesday June 10, 2009
The COUNTBLANK function is another of Excel's “Count Functions”. What all of the functions in this group do is total the number of cells in a selected range that meet specific criteria.

However, the specific criterion each responds to is different. The criterion for COUNTBLANK is blank or empty cells. What is does is count up all of the empty cells in a specified range. It will ignore cells containing text or numbers.

So if you need to find out how many cells in a spreadsheet are blank, the COUNTBLANK function will do the job for you. To find out the details about using this function in a spreadsheet, read the article on the Excel 2007 COUNTBLANK.
