Basic Excel 2007 Spreadsheet Tutorial

Wednesday April 1, 2009
I’ve heard from more than one person that their initial reaction the first time they open a spreadsheet program is one of bewilderment. As one person said, “There were just these little boxes on the screen, and I couldn’t get it (the program) to do anything”.

To be fair, there are plenty of icons and drop down menus full of options in Excel along with those little boxes, but these are not going to be much help if you don’t know what the program is capable of doing and how it is supposed to work.

With this in mind, the Basic Excel 2007 Spreadsheet Tutorial has been created. The tutorial, as the name suggests, shows you how to create a basic spreadsheet. Topics covered include entering data, creating simple formulas, and formatting a worksheet.
