Excel 2007 REPLACE Function

Friday February 6, 2009
Another Excel function, similar to the TRIM function, which can be used to remove unwanted characters from imported data, is the REPLACE function. If extra characters are imported along with good data, they can cause problems if the data is used in formulas or other calculations.

The REPLACE function can be used to not only remove unwanted characters but also replace them with good data. It allows you to specify how many characters of data you wish to replace.

To find out the details of using this function read the article on the Excel 2007 REPLACE Function.
