Excel Dice Roller Tutorial
Tuesday November 11, 2008
One use for the random numbers generated by Excel's RAND and RANDBETWEEN functions is to create a dice roller program.
The dice roller consists of a pair of dice created by formatting specific cells in a spreadsheet. These dice can be repeated "rolled" by recalculating the spreadsheet.
Depending on the numbers rolled, dots appear in the appropriate cells of the dice in the worksheet. The appearance of the dots, is controlled by using a combination of the AND , IF , and OR functions.
To find out more, and to create your own dice, read the article on the step by step Excel Dice Roller Tutorial.
