Another Excel function that goes along with AVERAGEIF and SUMIF is the COUNTIF function. Like the other two, COUNTIF combines two commonly used Excel functions.

In this case they are the COUNT function, which returns the number of cells in a selected range that meet a specific criterion, and the IF function, which introduces decision making into your spreadsheets.
